The Gloucester Vital Records show Ebenezer as having been baptized 11 August 1717. This may be a transcription error, or it may be that he was baptised as an adult. Circumstantial evidence suggests that he was actually the son of Love Parsons Lurvey, specifically the name of his first daughter
