"She came to this country with her husband in 1804, being then twenty-seven years of age, and settled in New York City. Her husband [Thos. Paterson] died in 1815, when she was thirty-eight years old. She had no children by this marriage. In 1816, or early in 1817, she was married by Rev. Danl. Ostrander to our grandfather, Jesse Redman. After the birth of their first child [Mary Johnson Redman, Oct 1817], they removed from New York City to Trenton, N.J."
