"Served one year as a member of Company B, 52nd Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry.
Moved to Iowa in 1868, first in Butler County and then in Cherokee County. In 1896, he moved to Colorado where he lived until his death.
Married Jeanette (Nettie) Pittsinger on 18 Dec. 1866 in Florence, MA. Six children from this marriage, Carrie, Albert James, David Robinson, Susan and Martha. Married 2nd to Emma Elizabeth Miller at Lisle, NY on 21 Aug. 1888. Two children from this marriage, Charles and Hilda."
