"Edward died at the age of 77 on Saturday, December 19, 2009.

"Edward was born on May 23, 1932 in Perry. He was a lifelong farmer and was member of the Perry Elks Lodge #407 and Perry Golf and Country Club.

"His survivors include his wife of 57 years, Lila Menz, his sons, Dave (Karen) Menz, Steve (Annette) Menz, his daughter, Kathy Menz, his brother, Marvin Menz and sister, Nora Sayles all of Perry and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

"Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Eva Crannell Menz and a half sister, Verna Crites."
